Bonjour,

On Monday morning, we traveled from Takoradi to Accra.  We had a good trip.  We did not run into heavy traffic until we got inside Accra.  We met the Aarons at KFC. After lunch, we took our stuff to the guest house.  Our brakes are still having some trouble.  We decided to ride with the Aarons so that we would not have to worry about the brakes in the stop and go traffic.  We went to La Hacienda.  They were well stocked this time.  It sounds like a Mexican restaurant, but it is actually a store that gets things in bulk from the States.  I got a big bag of chocolate chips and some Dr. Pepper.  They even had Velveeta, but I was not willing to pay 26 cedis for a brick!  We did get a big can of nacho cheese.  We can freeze it, and it lasts a long time.  Then, we went to Hypermarket Palace.  Joe got stocked up on coffee there.  Then, we went to the mall.  We let the kids play in the play area for an hour.  The guys stayed with them for the first thirty minutes while Emily and I shopped.  Then, we stayed with the kids while the guys shopped.  We ate supper at a restaurant at the mall.  The restaurant has a Monday night special – buy one hamburger and get one free.  It was probably the best hamburger we have eaten here.  Adam must have gotten too hot or something.  Right as we sat down for supper, he said, "I'm going to puke."  Andrew jumped up with him, but they did not make it very far.  Andrew went and got Adam cleaned up.  It took a little while for Andrew to recover.  But, everyone was able to eat supper by the time it came.  We went back to the guest house and crashed.

This morning, Joe and Andrew went to a bakery and got some things for breakfast.  Then, Joe and I went to the US Embassy to get pages added to my passport.  We will have to go back to pick it up tomorrow.  From there, we went to get hair cuts.  We picked up some lunch meat and headed back to the guest house for lunch.  This afternoon, we are watching the Aaron children while they do some shopping.  We are all going for pizza for supper.  I guess I should go see how Joe is doing with all six children!

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
