Bonjour,

This morning we went to Dan's church in Port Bouet, which is just this side of Abidjan.  Justin was still sick.  Since Jennifer was staying home with Justin, she offered to do nursery duty and keep Bonnie too.  We took her up on her offer.  We all rode together in Dan's vehicle.

I went to the Sunday school class with the boys.  Danny is still not too sure about going into a class without Mom or Dad in his sight.  The lady was calling on different people to come up front and hold the words to the songs.  Danny asked me when she was going to call on him.  I told him that he had to raise his hand.  His little hand shot up, and she called him up.  Then, he didn't know what he was supposed to do.  Brian helped him out.

The Messers and Mrs. Joan Watkins came for the morning service.  We had not met the Messers before.  They have six children and are missionaries in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, which is about five hours away depending on the road conditions.  They just returned to the country on Thursday.  They leave for San Pedro on Tuesday.

Joe preached in the morning service.  He did a good job.

After church, we fellowshipped for awhile before heading our separate ways.

When we got home, Jennifer had made lunch for everyone.  Bonnie was happy to see us.

It was cloudy and cool today (in the low 80s).  It actually felt like fall weather.  That is unusual for Ivory Coast in November.

After naps, I ended up with all three children helping me in the kitchen.  Danny helped me mix the dough for breadsticks.  Gilbert got the stool and was doing dishes.  Bonnie climbed up on the stool to "help."  Danny came back in on the end of the dishes and wanted to help.  So, he helped me roll out the breadsticks.  While Gilbert and Bonnie were licking the bowl, Danny did some dishes.

We had a quiet evening at home.  Danny picked a Bible story book about Gideon.  We almost didn't make it through the book because the kids had so many questions.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
