Bonjour,
This morning, we had to take Bonnie back to the doctor for a check-up. We knew that she was doing better, but the doctor said that he likes to see children who have been that sick three days after their release.
The boys stayed with the Posts; the karate teacher comes on Saturday morning. They didn't want to miss that. When we got back, we asked Gilbert what he did in karate today. He said, "Push ups." He will get good at those!
There is a grocery store across from the doctor's office. I went to get some groceries while Joe sat in the waiting room with Bonnie. The doctor didn't used to be so busy on Saturday mornings. I finished shopping and traded places with Joe. Bonnie was talking up a storm at the doctor's office. There was a French lady sitting next to us. Bonnie kept smiling and squinting at her. After sitting there for a while, the lady said in French, "She talks too much." I told Bonnie what the lady said, but she didn't miss a beat. She just kept right on talking. She told me that there was a monster behind my chair. She was growling at the monster to scare him away. Then, she was pretending that my purse was her purse. She was showing me where things were and told me that I wasn't supposed to dig in her purse. We finally saw the doctor after about a two-hour wait. He said that she was fine and apologized that we had to wait.
Joe drove to another store to get the things that were still on my list that the first store didn't have. It seems like there is always something that they are out of. Today, we couldn't find baking cocoa or brown sugar. Last week, none of the stores had sugar. We are getting stocked up; the presidential elections are next Sunday, November 28. We don't know how long we will have to stay at home.
Joe was just about done in after that. He is still not back to 100%. So, we headed home. We got back just in time for nap time. The boys took a nap under protest. I didn't protest!
After supper, it was Gilbert's turn to pick a movie. He chose Peter Pan.
Please pray for Justin Post. He has been running a fever for the past couple days. He is taking a malaria treatment.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
