Bonjour,
This morning, Bonnie came to me and said, "Mom, am I an upside down cake? Danny said I was." Danny comes up with some great names. We are working on that name-calling business.
It rained all morning; the sun came out a little bit this afternoon. We took one of the three dressers into town today to have wicker drawers made for them. After talking to three different basket weavers, we found one who would do it for a good price. On the way into town, Bonnie was watching the windshield wipers and said, "Those car cleaners are working good, Dad." Danny, who always gets in on the tail of conversations said, "What works good? Oh the 'window swipers'!"
We went to the store to get a few groceries. Joe walked down the street to another store to get a phone for the house. We got a Magic Jack in a package yesterday. It hooks up to the computer, and you can plug a phone into it. It seems to be working great.
We got home just in time for lunch. After lunch, the kids and I took a nap. After naps, I went swimming with the kids.
Joe went with Evans to Inchaban tonight. After they went to Inchaban, they went to Djomo to visit the family of a lady in the church who died a couple months ago. They presented the family with a gift from the church to help with funeral expenses. Joe got back home around 9:30 PM.
This evening, I gave the boys a haircut. I trimmed Bonnie's hair a little. Then, after baths and supper, we watched some DVDs that my parents had sent of some things that they had videoed this summer. One of the DVDs was of a birthday party for my nephew Jack. Gilbert was wishing he could have been there. Danny felt sorry for my niece who did not get any presents. (It wasn't her birthday!) Bonnie was excited to see her cousins. Then, we watched a DVD of their trip to Idaho for Oma's 90th birthday. It was fun watching the kids tell me who people were and listening to the things that they noticed. They noticed that Kody, one of their cousins, wasn't wearing glasses anymore. When they saw my brother Tony, they said, "Mom, It's Uncle Cheese Macaroni!" (That is from a silly song that I sang to them a long time ago, but they did not forget it!) There were some people who they didn't know; they were asking me everyone's name.
The kids were in bed when Joe got home, but they were still awake waiting for kisses from Daddy. They told Joe all about the DVDs that we watched.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
