Bonjour,

We had a big blessing this morning.  We are in the process of buying a newer vehicle.  We had gotten a loan for it.  We were hoping to sell our current vehicle to pay off part of the loan, but we were not sure how much we could get for it as it is not in the best of shape.  We got a text from Joe's dad this morning saying that our church in Texas is going to buy the vehicle for us.  They had some money set aside in an emergency fund, and the church members volunteered to give the remaining amount.  Joe and I both got choked up as we read the text and then later heard the story.
Joe took the kids to school this morning.  Then, he went to work on getting his Ghanaian driver's license.  He got to the office at 8:30.  He had to stand in thirteen different lines to complete all of the paperwork.  After five hours of standing in all of those lines, he got his temporary license.  The permanent one will be ready in two months.
I did some cleaning and laundry this morning.  I am going to attempt to write a book; people have told us for years, "You should write a book."  So, I am going to give it a whirl.  I got my first page typed today; I think it is going to be a slow process.  : )
The kids had a good day at school.  Gilbert said that he didn't finish his Language page.  Gilbert got to read the story of the big bad wolf today, and he got to be one of the little pigs.  He was upset that girls were the other two pigs; he said, "Weren't all three pigs boys, Mom?"  Danny said that he got all of his seatwork right.  When Danny is telling about something that happened, his facial expressions are so funny.  He raises his eyebrows and does all kinds of tricks.  Bonnie's accomplishments for the day was no visit to the principal's office.
Joe worked on the pump for a little while after he brought the kids home from school.  The switch needed to be replaced.  He got that replaced, but something else broke.  He will get that fixed tomorrow so that we can hopefully get the Luthers' water tank filled up before they return on Wednesday.
Joe helped the boys shoot the pellet gun.  Gilbert said that he shot a water bag all by himself.  Danny did it too with Daddy's help.
Bonnie helped me make pizza for a little while.  Then, she ventured outside to see what the boys were doing.
Danny was the only one with homework tonight.  He was practicing writing his name, and he also started doing addition.  Gilbert was impressed that Danny could add too.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
