Bonjour,
The boys were both up before 6:00 this morning. I had read yesterday that today is National Donut Day. I had already planned on making donuts. It worked out well that we were up early because it takes a couple hours to make the donuts. I made the Dunkin Donut recipe with chocolate glaze. Yummy!!!
This morning, we did school. Today was Gilbert's last day of DVD lessons. He has five additional lessons without DVD instruction. Danny still has five DVD lessons to go. They will both finish up together.
Joe went to work on the Siekberts' pump. He got the parts that he needed and got the pump up and going.
I got the laundry started early. The sun was actually shining when I put the clothes on the line, but within the hour, the clouds moved in. I had to get the clothes quickly when it started to sprinkle. Then, it became a downpour. Parts of the yard turned into a river. The boys thought it was great. They were calling it a waterfall.
We went into town for lunch. We placed our order at a restaurant on the way into town. Then, we went to the bank. When we got back to the restaurant, our food was ready. It is a Lebanese restaurant. They had completely remodeled it since we were there last. One man gave each of the kids their own can of Pringles. There were several Lebanese men eating when we arrived. Danny wanted to know why there were so many white people.
We got home in time for naps. Gilbert went up to the Luthers' house when he got up. Danny and Bonnie slept longer, and they decided to stay with me.
Tonight, Joe took several people to Inchaban, a town about thirty minutes away. Evans, one of the men from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, is preparing to start a church in Inchaban. He is beginning with a Friday night Bible study. Last week was his first Bible study. One man from Inchaban came. The same man was there again tonight. Several people from our church went to be an encouragement to Evans.
After supper, the kids and I had root beer floats and watched a movie. Gilbert had a Coke float because he doesn't like root beer.
Now, it's bed time!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
