Bonjour,
Joe talked to the power company several times throughout the day trying to get them to come out to remove the limbs off of the lines and get our power turned back on. They came about 3:30 this afternoon. Within fifteen minutes, they had the limbs removed and our power turned back on. It will be nice to run the AC tonight; it is much easier to sleep that way! : )
The kids had a good day at school. Danny was having trouble adding a final consonant to blends yesterday. We worked on it last night, and the teacher said that he did much better today. Gilbert was trying to remember the country that they talked about today. He remembered that there were wild animals that people liked to go and see and that there were fast runners there; then he remembered that it was Kenya. Bonnie had fallen on the playground and had band-aids on her knee. She said that Brother Morgan put the band-aids on and told her that she was a good girl.
I made cupcakes for Danny to take to school tomorrow for his birthday. I got them frosted just before the kids got home. We sampled a couple and saved the rest for tomorrow. Bonnie was upset that it was just a piece and not a whole one.
I made pizza for supper so that Danny could have pizza in his lunch tomorrow. After supper, the boys did their homework.
Danny has requested cowboy cake for breakfast. (If we say coffee cake, they think it has coffee in it and don't want any.) Joe is mixing that up while I type the e-mail.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
