Bonjour,
This morning at breakfast, the children were having a discussion about chocolate milk. Danny said, “Cows lay the milk.” Gilbert said, “And, dogs lay the chocolate.” I don’t know where that came from!!! I wouldn’t care for any of that “chocolate milk!”
We had a good morning at church. Andrew Aaron has been learning Twi, a tribal langauge that is spoken up north. But, a lot of Fante speakers can understand Twi. The people at church enjoyed talking to Andrew in the tribal language.
After Sunday school, Kristine told us that the teacher was telling the kids something in Fante. Danny responded to what they told him to do. Maybe he is picking up more Fante than we know.
When we got home, I put lunch in the oven and worked on rolling the breadsticks. We ate about 1:00. The kids wanted to go to Bible club at 2:00. Bonnie fell asleep on the field. The boys were still going strong.
We went to the Siekberts’ church this evening. We go right past the ocean. There is a big fish statue by the ocean; the kids like taking the circle that goes around the fish. Gilbert said, “Mom, it smells like seafish.” It was a blessing to hear Kouassi preach.
Just as we were pulling into the yard, we saw an African cevit go into the bushes. The guys had to come in to look at the internet to figure out exactly what we had just seen. I heated up some leftovers and made some macaroni and cheese. The kids were asleep right after hitting the bed.
The Aarons are leaving in the morning. We will be sad to see them go.
