Bonjour,
The power went off about 8:00 this morning and did not come back on until 7:30 this evening. Joe cranked up the generator about 11:00.
We introduced the Aarons to Dutch pancakes this morning. Everyone seemed to approve.
After breakfast, Joe, Andrew, Emily, and Jane went into town to go to a couple stores. Amelia and Adam stayed here to play with our kids. I worked on making hotdog buns for lunch.
We had the Luthers, Kristine, and Becky down for a hotdog roast for lunch. We had a good time of fellowship. Julie brought coleslaw, and Kristine brought cookies and brownies for dessert.
The kids all played outside for quite a while. Bonnie was so tired that I took her in and lay down with her. We both got a good nap in. Danny fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie.
The Aarons went to the Luthers’ house for supper tonight. I made spaghetti sauce and made enough so that we will have some for lunch tomorrow. Then, I made some chocolate chip cookies.
We got a call tonight concerning the guest house. The missionaries here who met Joe were ready to send us the contract, but they got word from their home office in the States that we are not approved. So, on to plan F. : ) We will probably check on rent in Accra to see if there is someone who might work with us instead of having to pay two years’ rent up front. We will explore other options too. Pray for us during this decision making process.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
