Bonjour,

Joe woke up not feeling well this morning.  He went on to visitation, but he came back home about 10:00.  He has been sick all day.  He is supposed to be the guest speaker at a different Baptist church in Takoradi tomorrow morning.  Please pray that he will feel better in the morning.
The appliance repair man came this morning before Joe left.  Joe got the dryer all hooked up, and it came right on.  Joe paid the guy for coming all the way out here.  About twenty minutes later, I went out to try the dryer.  Joe had already left.  I couldn't get the dryer to start.  I called Joe and realized that he had left his phone here.  So, I called the repair man and asked him to come back.  Joe saw him on the road and brought him back to the house because Joe realized he had left his phone at home.  Come to find out, there is an on/off switch on the plug that I didn't know about.  So, once it was turned on, it started right up again.  I felt a bit foolish!
I had one load in the washer, and the power went off.  It was off for six hours.  When it came back on, I got that load in the dryer and got another load started.
Some girls were outside in the yard this morning.  They kept asking the kids for food and water.  They said that their house had fallen down.  Gilbert came in to tell me what they said and said, "Mom, I think they are lying."  I went out to tell them that it was going to rain and that they should go home.  They refused to go.  I went down the steps, and they started to move.  I followed them to the edge of the yard, but as soon as I headed back to the house, they followed me.  Joe was in no shape to go after them, but he did.  They were calling me a bad name in Fante.  Joe took them to their mother and told her what they had said.  She apologized and was very embarrassed.  Joe said that the girls were saying all the way home, "I beg you.  Please don't take me to my mother."

We had another downpour today.  Joe had told the boys yesterday that they should have a boat race the next time that it rained.  This morning, Bonnie and Danny were out on the back porch.  I heard glass clinking on the floor.  I went to see what they were doing.  They had about twenty glass Coke bottles on the floor.  I said, "What are you doing?"  Danny said, "We're just making a boat.  Daddy said that he used to make boats out of Coke bottles."  I said, "I think he meant plastic bottles."  Danny said, "OH!"  They started carrying bottles back to the crate.  Bonnie said, "Sorry, Mom!"  When it started raining hard, the boys went out to race their "boats."  They had a great time.
A pastor of another Baptist church in town came to visit us this afternoon.  He had asked Joe to preach at his church tomorrow.  He said that it was only proper that he came to visit us at the house before that.  He enjoyed the kids.  They were all bringing different toys out of the room to show him.  The power was off; so, no one took a nap.
The kids went to play with the Luther kids for a little while before supper.  The kids went to bed early tonight and are all asleep before 9:00.  I think it is bed time too!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
