W'apow mu e,
This morning, I worked on typing Sunday School lessons all morning. Joe did some studying.
This afternoon, Joe went into town before he picked the kids up from school to check on a possibility for a Fante teacher. We have not given up on learning Fante, the tribal language in our area; we just have not been able to find a teacher. He talked to someone today; his main tribal language is Twi, but he knows someone who teaches Fante. He did not have a phone number for him though. So, he said he would go visit him tonight and call us tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
The kids were all wound up when they got home from school today. The pool is still empty because we have been waiting to hear back from the painter. The painter suffered a heat stroke. We think he may have left the country because his phone is completely turned off now. Once we get the pool pump fixed, we will probably just go ahead and fill the pool back up. The hot season is definitely upon us. It has been getting up to over 100 degrees during the day and stays around 86 inside; it is also quite humid. The kids have been playing with the hose inside the pool. They set the hose up today so that it would spray out like a fountain and they could run underneath it. Bonnie came running inside to tell us that we needed to come and see what the brothers did with the hose; she was impressed!

Joe went to a pastor's conference this evening. On his way there, the car broke down. One of the front bearings broke. He was able to get it to the mechanic. The mechanic gave Joe a ride to the place where the conference was. After the conference, Joe got a ride back to the Kansaworado junction and walked the rest of the way home. We live past Kansaworado. That is quite a walk to take in the dark!
None of the kids had homework tonight. After we finished the dishes, we played two games of Monopoly Jr. Danny won the first game, and I won the second game. Then, we read another chapter about Hank the cowdog. Gilbert was worried that they weren't going to get kisses from Daddy before they went to sleep. But, Joe got home just after they went to bed.
Nantsew yie!
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
