Bonjour,
We had school this morning. A big storm blew in, and the power was off
for a while. The kids had a great time watching the wind blow things
around. When the rain came, they were all out playing in the rain. It
was a cooler day today with the rain. I did a couple loads of laundry
this morning, but they never got dry. So, the clothes are hanging on
the bunk beds in the kids’ room.
The battery on the car was dead this morning. Charlie came down and
jump started the vehicle. Joe went to talk to the person from whom he
bought the battery. They said that the battery was no longer under
warranty because someone had tampered with it. When Joe took the
battery to be charged last week, they scratched up the top of the
battery. So, he went there, and they weren’t wanting to help either.
The man who had charged the battery won’t be there until Wednesday. So,
he will go back on Wednesday.
This afternoon, Joe took the vehicle for an oil change. There isn’t a
jiffy lube here; it took them about four hours.
We borrowed a movie from the Luthers called The Secrets of Jonathan
Sperry. The kids have watched it a couple times now. In the movie, an
older man helped some young boys to understand about being a witness for
Christ. They mentioned “the gospel of John” several times. After the
movie, Gilbert said, “Mom, we need to start studying the gospel of John
in our morning devotions so that we can tell other people about Jesus.”
I made pizza for supper. Then, we watched a movie. One phase of the
electricity is off; so, we had to do some rearranging.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
