Bonjour,

We found out this morning that some action took place in Bassam yesterday.  Gbagbo security forces arrested Ouattara supporters and killed several.  The word on the street is that the Gbagbo security forces tear gassed the mosque at prayer time.  Needless to say, no one left their house today except for Vladimir, the Russian boy that lives on the corner.  He came over to play today.  The roadblocks are still up, and it is not possible to get to Abidjan at this time.
Gbagbo told the UN and the French military to leave immediately.  The UN spokesman said that Gbagbo is making a mockery of the sovereignty of democracy.  Gbagbo replied that the UN is making a mockery of the sovereignty of this nation.
We did some rearranging in the house today.  We decided to trade bedrooms with the kids.  We got everything re-situated. I still haven't gotten completely over the bronchitis.  I think I tried to do too much today because I don't feel very well this evening.  Joe told me so.  I will take it easy tomorrow.
Dusty, one of the dogs, jumped up on Bonnie and scratched her face by her eye.  Bonnie came to me for sympathy.  Then, she needed to go find Daddy to tell him that Dusty needed a spanking.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
