W'apow mu e,
I'm back! I probably should let Joe continue to write the e-mail since he puts so many stories in his. I'll give it my best shot.
When the kids first saw me at the airport, Bonnie said, "Mom, we were looking for you, and you just poofed up." Gilbert was the first to spot me. Joe talked someone into letting them come back to the baggage area. The guy who got them in the back was pushing our luggage cart until he spotted a boss standing outside the luggage area; he did the disappearing act and left Joe pushing the cart. The boss stopped Joe to ask him how he got back there. Joe told him who had taken him back. After we got past him, the man was back again. Joe told him that he did not need that kind of help and that he could take the cart from there.
We all slept well last night, and the kids even slept in. We all got up and had breakfast at the guesthouse; then the kids played for a while.

We packed the car up and headed to a couple of stores in Accra. We went to the little store that gets things in bulk from the States. Then, we went to the mall. The kids have been saving their allowance money, and Great Grandma sent some birthday money back with me. So, they had money to spend. They all found something great! We were also able to get an inhaler for Danny; he is having problems with asthma.
We were supposed to meet the Luthers at the Accra Mall at 11:00, but they got stuck in traffic. We ate lunch without them, and then we let the kids play in the play place at the mall. The Luthers came after the kids were in the play area, and the kids got to play together for a while.
We headed home about 1:30. The trip home was so much fun. We were singing a song that mentioned "gopher bark." Danny wanted to know what that meant. I was explaining that trees have bark. Bonnie said, "Trees don't bark, Mom."
Gilbert was telling me stories about the circus. The two biggest items on his list were that Bonnie ate a whole thing of popcorn and that the motorcycle rider broke his leg.
Bonnie said, "Mom, the police stopped us the other day, and we were 'boonked' up." Then, she said, "I hope we don't get 'boonked' up today!"
Danny had us in stitches a couple times. He was singing songs in a deep vibrato voice. Danny needed to go to the bathroom, and we were almost home. So, we kept having him sing the song again to keep his mind on other things. We laughed so hard that we cried.
We got home about 5:30. The kids were eager to see what I brought home. Joe volunteered to make supper while I unpacked. After supper, Danny gave me pictures and notes that he made for me while I was gone. He had put them in a basket because there were so many. One of the notes said, "The moment I get up I wait for Mom." That made me cry. When Danny saw that I had tears in my eyes, he cried too. We all decided that three weeks was too long to be apart. After that, I brought all of their stuff out to the living room. We had fun going through everything.
