When he landed in Tacloban, the group was waiting for him at the airport. It happened to be the first day of a youth camp, so they headed straight there to get registered. After that, they swung by the hotel long enough for Danny to drop off his luggage, and then it was right back to the camp for supper and the first service.

Around 130 campers showed up from several different churches. Danny's group had four young men total, and each one of them was assigned as a team captain for one of the four camp teams. Because of the language barrier, each of them also had an assistant leader working alongside them to help bridge the gap.

Not a bad first day for a guy who had just spent two days in transit.
