Bonjour!

This morning, we went to Frankie’s for breakfast. Almost everyone we’ve met that has been to Accra always asks if we’ve been to Frankie’s. Joe has eaten there when he has been here before, but today was my first time to go there. They had a very good breakfast!

>From there, we went souvenir shopping. First, we stopped at a couple places that the guest house keeper had told us about. From there, we went to an outdoor market. Gilbert made friends with a man that had a wooden xylophone. Gilbert was more interested in the sticks than he was in the xylophone. The man let him carry one of the sticks around the market. Nana was able to find everything that she wanted.

After that, we went to Tema, which is about twenty minutes from Accra. We went to a grocery store there called Evergreen. We were able to get some things there that we can’t get in Takoradi.

We ate lunch at Steers. Then, we went back to the guest house and crashed. It was very hot today. We were all quite warm. We were thankful for the air-conditioned room!

We spent the evening at the guest house. Joe took Gilbert outside to play. They have a big playground, but Gilbert was content to play with a stick in the dirt.

Nana started Gilbert’s bath for him. Then, she and Joe sneaked out while I finished Gilbert’s bath. We were sad to see Nana go, but we are glad that she got to come.

Joe dropped Nana off at the airport. You can only go inside the airport if you have a ticket.

We will head back home tomorrow.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
