Arrival in Mexico

We left Chicago at 1:30 A.M. and arrived in Guadalajara, Mexico, at 5:30 A.M. We got through customs and made it out of the airport around 7:00 A.M. Bro. Uzi, a staff member at Providence, is from Mexico. His father pastors a church here in Guadalajara. My friend Obed is Bro. Uzi’s brother. There was a big gathering of their family who met us at the airport. Once we got to the car, let’s just say a lot of shaving cream was used to welcome us.

We visited for a little while and then rested for a while. We did some exploring this afternoon. We went to a Catholic church. We went to a mall and had ice cream. Now, we are getting ready to have supper at the house – homemade tacos! YUMMY!!

Obed and I will be staying at his aunt and uncle’s house. Bro. Uzi and the others will be staying at his parents’ house.
