This morning, I woke up at 7:00 A.M. Once I had gotten up, I gave the keys to the truck to Pa Kofi. (He is a faithful man in Pastor Dare’s church. He drives a taxi for a living.) He drove the truck to Accra to pick up the Ruckmans. After I had given him the keys and he had driven away, I went up to my room for a while.

After a while, I came down for some breakfast. After breakfast, I did a few things around the house to prepare for the Ruckmans’ return. They landed today in Accra at 2:45 P.M.; so, they should be here sometime late this evening.

After doing some cleaning around the house, I rested in my room for a while. Once it came time, I went downstairs to let some of the kids in for Bible club. We were able to play for a little while before we had to set up for Bible club. We had to move out into the front yard/driveway area because the porch was running out of room. Everything went pretty smoothly, but we had a few kids who did not behave very well.

While we were doing the Bible club, Pastor Dare and his wife were working on getting the house in tip top shape. Once Bible club was over, I went back inside. Pastor Dare and his wife were just about through; but before they left, Mrs. Sally prepared a delicious meal for the Ruckmans and me. I don’t know if the Ruckmans will have already eaten; but either way, Mrs. Sally has a delicious meal waiting for them.

While Mrs. Sally was preparing the meal, the power went out. I was able to get the generator going so she could finish. After they left, I took my shower. Just as I was getting out of the shower, the generator ran out of propane and started making all the lights flicker. I was able to quickly get it turned off, and now it will be four hours before I need to turn it back on again to keep the stuff in the freezer and refrigerator cool.

I am currently sitting on the porch because it is cooler out here than it is inside. I am also waiting on the Ruckmans to return!

  1. I know it will be great to have the Ruckmans back home. The Bible Club sounds like a big challenge. Have a great day. Love you!
