This morning, I woke up around 7:00 or so. I went to bed last night with a pain in my chest; and when I woke up, it was much worse. I have had a cold for the past few days, and it may have caused pleurisy, but I am not sure yet. Once I got up and had eaten breakfast, I walked down to the pharmacy to get some medicine. I am really hoping the medicine works.

After I had been at the house for a little while, the pain got to where it was almost unbearable. I could not sit, and I had to stand in a certain position to be comfortable. After some ibuprofen, the pain died down; but I could still slightly feel it through the day. Once it was getting close to lunch time, I decided to make some hotdogs. It was a quick and easy meal, and everything went as planned.

After lunch, the landlord came by to work on a water issue we are having. We are thinking that my shower is leaking and is getting in the walls and is starting to show up in the kitchen, but we are not positive yet. The landlord stayed for a few hours with another guy, and they worked on chiseling tile and some other things.

Once they had left, I started on supper. I made corned beef and potatoes. It took longer than I thought it would; but in the end, it turned out well. After I ate and washed the dishes, I got ready for church. I get the opportunity to preach all the Wednesday nights that the Ruckmans are gone; so tonight was night number one. I preached about Jonah, and I felt like the message went very well. After the service, the pains in my chest started coming back.

I had Bro. Arhin help me catch a taxi because I did not want to get kidnapped tonight. I have taken a taxi before by myself, but this was the first time to do it at night. Once I got to our road, I walked the rest of the way up the hill. When I first got out of the car, my chest started really hurting; but by the time I had gotten to the gate, the pains had gotten much worse. Once I got in the gate, I talked to mom for a few minutes on the phone and then texted dad and a few other people.

After a hot bath, I feel much better. Now, I am off to get a good night’s rest.

Praying for you. I hate that you don’t feel well. It is still raining hard here. I think it is suppose to slow down tomorrow. My kitchen is coming along. I really like it. Have a good day tomorrow. Drink plenty! And rest.
