Bonjour,
This morning, the kids helped Joe clean the pool. They spent most of the morning working on that. Danny was busily scrubbing when suddenly he went running out of the pool screaming; he had been bitten by a big black driver ant. Bonnie kept saying that one bit her too. Joe said that Bonnie was large and in charge. I got some laundry done. Kristine teaches a Bible class in a village on Wednesday mornings.
This afternoon, we took naps. Then, I worked on supper. After supper, we headed to church. We actually made it all the way up the road and into the churchyard tonight. Taxis have been parking on that road because it is on a hill, but they block the gate when they do that.
There were fourteen at church tonight. Several people are sick. Joe preached about the Passover tonight. He was giving an illustration about visiting his bus route when he was in junior high. The bus driver did not want to pick the children up because they were black. So, the pastor went with Joe and picked them up instead. There were seventy-five on the bus that morning, and several of the children got saved. I looked over at Gilbert, and he had tears in his eyes. He said, "Mom, I really liked that story; it made my eyes water."
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
