Bonjour,
This morning, we went into town to do our grocery shopping. We started out at a store on the market circle. We couldn't find a parking place; so, Joe and the kids stayed in the car. Just as I came out, a parking spot opened up. So, Joe parked the car. He went to get vegetables in the market while I waited in the car with the kids. From there, we went to Garden Mart. They have little carts that the kids can push around. They think that is great. My foot only got run over twice. : )
We stopped at Skyna Fast Food and picked up fried chicken and fried rice to take home for lunch. It is a little roadside stand, but she makes good food. While we were waiting for the food, Bonnie said, "Mom, is that my friend Skyna?" When the lady brought the food to the car, we told her what Bonnie said. Then, she had to shake all of the kids' hands.
After naps, we walked up to look at the pool progress. They guys finished getting the dirt out today. Now, some water pipes need to be replaced before it can be cleaned out. Then, it will need to be painted. The kids are wishing that it wasn't such a long process.
Kristine stayed home and organized her room today. She came up to help me with supper preparations. We made taco salad tonight with guacamole and all the trimmings. It was good. I think today is the first time we have found good lettuce here since we have been in Ghana.
After supper, we had rootbeer floats. Gilbert is the only one who doesn't care for rootbeer; he just had ice cream.
Bonnie said that she was going to the store. She kissed her baby doll and said, "I'll see you in the middle of the night." Then, she came back out to the living room with her "purchases," her box of food and dishes. She was serving each person. She kept getting frustrated with Danny because he kept snatching the food from her box.
Today is our pastor's birthday. We called Bro. Dodson to wish him a happy birthday. We all sang. Each of the kids wanted to talk. Then, one by one, they thought of something else that they needed to tell him. Please pray for the Dodson family. Mrs. Dodson's mother is close to death; she is not expected to live much longer.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
