W'apow mu e,

Yesterday we got up and had cereal for breakfast.  We rarely have cereal because it is about $15 per box, but I thought that since mom is gone and I am chief cook and bottle washer, then we could make an exception and have coco pops for breakfast.  My sister Lori also sent a package that had those little dried marshmallows and I put those on the cereal. (Thanks Aunt Punky!)  Bonnie said, "Cereal for breakfast? WHAT!  I thought that was just for a special snack!"

After I got the kids to school I came home and tried to get caught up on some things around the house.  Lo sure does do a lot of things around here!  I got a couple of loads of washing done and then I realized that the dryer was out of gas!  I had taken our spare bottles to get filled last week, but the power was off at the only station that had gas, so I left the bottles to get filled when the power came back on.  I took the one empty bottle and headed to town to get it filled and pick up the other two.  Well, the two bottles were filled, praise the LORD, but they were out of gas and could not fill the one I had with me.

I checked on some other things in town and then headed to pick the kids up from school.  We go past another gas station on the way home and so I stopped to see if they could fill my third gas bottle.  (You never can tell when they are going to have a gas shortage so you fill the bottles when and where you can!)  They had just received their shipment of gas because I could see the tanker truck rolling up his hoses.  So I got in line and got my bottle filled!  While we were waiting the kids were setting in the car with the other kids that ride home with us.  Bonnie had a stack of flash card and she was drilling the kids on their addition skills!  She was sitting on the center console facing backwards holding the cards over her head.  She was being very fair and gave everyone a chance because most of the time she was holding the answer side toward the kids!  However she got upset about something (we still do not know what happened) and started crying!  I saw a lady with some boiled peanuts for sale and bought a bag for Bonnie to see if that would help.  She sure did like those boiled peanuts!

We were watching some MMA tonight and Danny and Gilbert were really getting into it.  Bonnie said, "We should have those guys watch the Style Network because they do not dress well!"  Danny and Gilbert were trying out some submission holds!

I tried to send this e-mail several times and the internet was down.  I hope it hold up for me to finish typing about what happened today!

On the way to school this morning, everything was going fine when we drove right into a riot.  Danny said, "Are those good guys or bad guys?"  Gilbert said, "Why is that guy pointing that thing (tear gas grenade launcher) at us?  Bonnie said, "That guy that just got hit with that stick does not look very happy!"  I was not very happy either!  We made it though without any problems.  Remember last week I told about the riot that happened in town?  Well, the next day they fixed the road that people were rioting about, and now people are rioting about other roads since it worked the first time!

I stayed close to the school until the riot was over and then I drove around town to see if I needed to take the kids home from school early.  Everything was back to normal and so I decided to let them stay in school.

Bonnie got sent to the office today for speaking Fante at school!  I don't think she really even knows what she said, and that she was just trying to see if that rule applied to her as well as the black kids.  (She did not say any bad words, just some random Fante greetings.)  Well, the rule does apply to white kids too.

We played a game tonight called Sorry Express.  It is kind of like that old board game Sorry, only faster!  Well, let me tell you, when the box says "6+"  it means it!  Danny and Bonny had no idea what was going on, but Gilbert was doing just fine. It was a lot of fun anyway!  I was sure excited about the Express part!  Lo is the game person and I just play because she likes to play.
