Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school this morning. Then, he worked on getting all of the paperwork ready to turn in to be approved to get on a quota; this is the first step toward getting our residents' visas. He had to have fifteen copies made of every document because it will be presented to a board for consideration. He then checked on what he needs to do to get the vehicle papers in our name. He found out that he has to go to Accra to do that.
I got a few things done around the house.
When the kids got home from school, we had them rest for a while. They have been so grouchy on Wednesday nights. Having them rest helped with that.
After naps, Danny had homework to do. Bonnie wanted to go over the alphabet cards. When we got to V, I said, "V says 'v,v, violin.'" Bonnie said, "Mom, that's not a violin; it's a target." I said, "A target?" Then, it hit me that she thought it was a guitar. I said, "Do you mean a guitar?" She said, "Yes, that's what it is."
We had a good service with ten in attendance. Joe started a series of messages about the armor of God tonight.
Pray for Joe and Martin as they travel to Accra early tomorrow morning. Joe wants to try to get to Accra about the time that the offices are opening so that they can get a lot accomplished in one day. He plans to come back home on Friday. Then, on Saturday, he needs to take our old vehicle to the border to meet the mechanic because the paperwork for crossing the border expires on Sunday. The mechanic is going to take the vehicle back to Ivory Coast and sell it for us. Pray for safety on the roads!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
