Bonjour,

Please pray for Justin Post.  Dan took him to the doctor this morning because Justin still wasn't feeling well after finishing the malaria treatment.  He has typhoid fever and will be in the hospital until Friday afternoon.  So, Dan and Justin will be spending Thanksgiving Day in the hospital.  Joe took some things up to the hospital for them. Jennifer talked to Dan tonight.  He said that Justin seems to be feeling a little better.
This morning, the boys did karate.  Danny got to wear his karate uniform for the first time.  He was so excited.  Bonnie came inside and asked, "Where's my uniform?"  I guess we'll have to get some black culottes made for her.  It wouldn't hurt her to learn some defensive moves.   : )  About half way through the karate lesson, Gilbert came into the kitchen to tell me that a pen had leaked on his uniform.  I guess Isaac gave him a pen just as practice was starting; so, he tucked the pen in his belt, and it exploded.  I am trying the hairspray treatment to get the ink out, but it is a big spot of ink on a white jacket.  When I asked the boys what they learned in karate today, Danny dropped down and started doing push-ups.  They are getting good at those!  Danny came in after karate to tell me that he tackled Brian and the teacher.  At the end of their lesson, they were messing around.  The teacher was having Danny and Gilbert charge the bigger boys and tackle them.
We did not do school today.  I started my Thanksgiving baking.  I made pies this morning.  After naps, I made a layer salad.  Then, I got supper ready before we went to church.
We went to the church in Bassam tonight.  They asked Joe to preach again.  The man who is usually in charge was not there tonight.  Bonnie fell asleep in my lap toward the end of the sermon.  She did not take a nap today.  She stayed asleep all the way home and didn't wake up when I put her in her bed.
The water has been off quite a bit lately.  It was off most of the day today and is off again this evening.  We have a tank with water in it that we use when the water is off.  Bonnie wanted me to put water in a bucket today so that she could play with it.  I told her that we were on tank water and that she couldn't play with it.  She said, "I don't like tank water."  There is also a well.  If needed, we can get water out of the well and put it in the tank.  So, she came into the kitchen to "help" me do the dishes.  She started out washing things.  She ended up with her feet in the water; she was determined to play with water one way or another.
Bonnie was helping me in the kitchen this evening.  The things she comes up with never cease to amaze me.  She said, "This doesn't belong here, Mom."  She uses some big words for a two year old.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
