We went into town this morning.  First, we went to the post office.  The kids all wanted to go inside.  They were so tickled because the postal workers wanted the kids to come through the package window.  Joe handed them through the window.  The kids looked around for a minute and got to help get our package of the shelf.  Then, they handed the kids back to Joe.
We stopped at the bank and then went to the grocery store.  The kids had not been to the store in a while and were a little hyper.
Everyone got a snack at the grocery store.  Then, we drove around the market circle.  The circle was quite congested.  Joe and the kids found a parking spot while I went to two different stores.  The second store was the cold store.  They sell frozen meat there – hot dogs, chicken breasts, chicken quarters, etc.  It is always interesting in there because there isn’t really a line; whoever pushes their way to the counter first is the next one to be helped.
Then, we ate lunch at the golf course.  They have a little snack shop and a kitchen there; we ate outside beside the ocean.  The kids loved the fish and chips.  Danny ate his own fish and part of everyone else’s fish.
We rested when we got home.  Then, the kids wanted to swim.  I swam with them for a little while.  Gilbert and Danny were both swimming without their flotation suits.  I stayed busy watching the boys jump at one end and taking Bonnie back and forth.  She was kicking her feet under the water and said that must have been how Peter walked on the water. I picked her up so that her feet were on top of the water and told her that was how he walked on the water.  Then, she wanted to keep “walking” on the water.
Everyone was worn out and ready for bed this evening.
We got word this afternoon that our vetting papers have been approved.  Dan will go to Accra on Monday to pick them up for us.  The next step is to get everything in order to apply for our residents’ visas before our visa extension expires on May 2.  Thank you for your prayers!  Keep them coming!

A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
