Bonjour,
I am back among the living. I have not felt sick to my stomach today, but my leg is still quite swollen. We have been searching online to find the bug that is causing this reaction, but we have not found it yet. At first, we thought it was a tsetse fly; but after looking at the pictures that we could find of that fly, it did not seem to be in that family. It looks similar to a mosquito, but it has a little stinger on it. Joe killed one tonight; we have been studying it more closely. Gilbert was the first one to spot the bug. It was trying to bite him. Joe got the bug spray out and started hunting for it. Then, Danny spotted it. In all of the excitement of trying to watch the bug so that Joe could kill it, Gilbert and Danny ran into each other. Gilbert's main concern was that it not get anywhere close to me. He said, "Protect Mom, Danny!"
Joe took the kids to school this morning. They had a good day at school. On the way home, Gilbert told Joe that he did not have enough lunch, and they gave him some fish at school. I guess I got mixed up and put Gilbert's chips in Danny's bag. Danny ate both bags! Bonnie said that her whole class had to see the principal because they were talking during nap time.
I got some laundry done today. Other than that, I did not get much accomplished. I kept my foot elevated as much as possible.
Joe did some office work today.
The kids went to play with the Luther kids. Danny came back down crying. He had taken his crossbow with him. He fell, and the crossbow broke. He was just devastated. Joe super glued it and taped it. He will check tomorrow to see if the glue is going to hold.
When I was tucking the kids in tonight, Bonnie gave me a big hug and said, "I love you tight, Mom! I love Dad tighter!"
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
