Bonjour,

This morning, Joe and Gilbert went up to the church to help with the last minute things for the wedding. They had to transport some tables and things like that. They came home just in time to eat lunch, get ready, and head back to the church.

We got there about an hour early. The wedding got started about fifteen minutes late. The groom walked in with his mother and his best man. The best man was Bob Mach, one of the missionaries. The church choir escorted them in singing as they came down the aisle. Everyone clapped and cheered when they got to the front.

They had a couch and chairs for the bride, groom, best man, and maid of honor. After the groom and the best man were seated, a couple specials were sung. The bride still had not made an appearance; she wasn’t even at the church. So, Joe got in the vehicle to see if he could find her. She was in a vehicle sitting in front of the town hall waiting. I don’t know how long they would have waited there; but anyway, they followed Joe back to the church.

The bride entered with her parents and three bridesmaids. The choir also escorted them in. During this round of applause, Danny woke up from his nap. I watched the rest of the wedding from outside.

Joe was outside running interference. There was a tent outside where over 100 children were sitting. There wasn’t enough room for everyone in the auditorium.

After more songs, they had the message. There were a couple more specials and then the vows. The choir sang again. Then, they carried the cake inside for the bride and groom to cut the cake. After that, everyone walked to the front to give their gift and to congratulate the bride and groom. Then, the bride and groom came outside. They seated them and their families under a tent for a meal. Everyone else just sat around. We decided to go on home. Sarah and her girls, Tammy, and the Mach kids all rode with us. Since Bob Mach was part of the wedding party, he stayed for the meal. We took the kids home to play.

After the kids had played for awhile, we decided to make hotdogs and macaroni for supper. Just as we got it ready, the Machs came to get their kids, and they brought Tammy’s vehicle. They had a bunch of their church people with them; so, they headed on home. The boys and I ate with Sarah and her girls since we had a big pot of macaroni made.

Joe isn’t feeling very well. He thinks he may be coming down with strep throat or some type of an infection.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
