W’apow mu e,

Well, the anti government demonstration was canceled today and moved
to the end of the month. So, we had a free day out of school!

I am sorry about the post with the photos. I am not used to doing
this and I had to call Lo to get some technical support for blogging
with photos!

The kids knew that today was a no school day, so they were up before
the chickens! Bonnie came in just before 06:00 to tell me that she
was ready to help me make breakfast! We had donuts this morning.
Man, I sure do miss being able to just go buy donuts from the donut
shop.

After breakfast we had a laundry folding. Everyone folded their own
laundry and put it away. By the end of that show I did not know if
that was such a great idea or not, but somehow we all survived and
after I banished the kids from the house for few minutes and had had a
cup of coffee I was laughing about the memories that we just made.

My plan for the day was to get every piece of laundry washed and put
away. Well, some plans work and others are doomed from the beginning!
As soon as I put the last load of wash in the machine and turned it
on so that the door was locked, the power went off. And I did not
take into account that when the kids are home all day, they can dirty
more clothes than I do in a week. So, I think by the end of the day,
we had more laundry in the baskets than we did when the day started!
Oh well, you win some and you lose some!

My nose does not work very well. I can smell some things sometime,
but mostly I like that dog on Lady and the Tramp. I have just lost my
sense of smell. I was making Sloppy Joes for lunch and I was just
about done. I called the kids to come inside to wash up and set the
table. Gilbert, who has the nose of a blood hound, walked in the door
and started gagging and rolling around on the floor like he was dying.
I asked him what his problem was and he said that it smelled like
someone had died and crawled into my skillet. The meat was bad. I
sure am glad Gilbert can smell.

After the kids had a nap, we went swimming. I got a camera a few
months ago that can take photos under the water. I have been afraid
to try it, but since Lo is in the US, I thought that I should try it
and if it got ruined she could bring a new one back. Well it worked
great! The kids just loved showing off for the camera.

The power just came back on at 22:10! It went off at 08:00!

Nantsew yie!

Bonnie had on too many floaties to take her picture under water!
Gilbert really wanted to take my picture under water!
