Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school this morning. I went down to the other house and got the kitchen cabinets emptied. Joe told me I could drive down there and that when I was ready to load the vehicle up, he would walk down to help me. I have not driven a standard in over ten years. (I have never driven in Africa.) I was very nervous going down the hill. When I got to the bottom of the hill, I realized that I didn't have the keys for that house. Getting back up the hill was a bit of a challenge; I made it on my second attempt. Joe enjoyed watching my calamity a little too much.
Joe worked on cleaning out the shed. A plumber came and got the toilets fixed. The electrician came to move some lights and install some fans. The welder brought some of the bars for the windows; they will start installing those tomorrow.
There is a new school out past our house. Benjamin, one of the boys who goes to the Siekberts' church, attends that school. He stopped by on his way home from school today. He played outside with the kids for quite a while. He was giving the boys some soccer tips.
I was putting clean sheets on the boys' beds tonight. Bonnie said, "Mom, I'm going to watch to make sure you do it correct. Correct means 'polite.'" I told her that correct means that something is right. She said, "Oh, well I'm still watching to make sure you do it correct." The fan was blowing the top sheet around. Bonnie said, "Mom, it's not quite correct." Getting bed making tips from a three-year-old is quite helpful.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
