Bonjour,

We decided to take part of our Spring Break this week and part of it next week.  So, we didn’t do school today.  We all went grocery shopping.  The vehicle ran fine.  Gilbert’s birthday is on Friday.  He has requested hotdogs to roast over the fire.  We got all stocked up for that today.

This morning, we found a mango worm in Danny’s arm.  Joe has been working on it throughout the day.  This evening, we discovered that Bonnie has several on her legs.  Joe got one of them out.  Bonnie just looked at the “hole” in her leg and said, “What in the world is that?  Something came out of there, Mom.”

We took naps this afternoon.  Joe went back into town to run more errands.  After supper, we went to church.  Gilbert got to open one birthday present tonight after church because Joe is going to miss his birthday.  Joe is leaving early in the morning to go up north.  Gilbert got a soccer ball.

Since the situation in Ivory Coast continues to worsen, and we cannot see a quick resolution to the problems there, we have decided to move to Accra to start a church there.  There are a lot of French speaking people there, including many Ivorians who have fled Ivory Coast.  There are also more English speaking people in that area.  While we were thinking and praying about this, Joe stayed at a guest house in Accra.  The caretakers of the guest house have a family problem and need to return to the States.  They were looking for someone to take over as the caretakers; they have done a lot of remodeling and don’t want to see that go to waste.  Joe came home and told me about it.  We have been praying about it.  In Ghana, rent has to be paid two years up front.  To rent a house in that area, it would cost about $30,000 for two years’ rent.  It would work out great for us.  We would take care of the guest house in exchange for our rent.  We will start a church somewhere in that area.  We are still going through the approval process of being the caretakers of the guest house.  Joe is going to travel up north tomorrow to meet the missionaries in the country who will make the decision about the guest house.  Please pray for Joe as he travels and that all of this would work out according to the Lord’s will.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
