Bonjour,
After forty-five hours, the power came back on at 3:30 this afternoon. It was on for two hours; then, it shot up to over 300 volts. It has been off for five hours and counting. We are thankful for the generator. It does get expensive to run the generator for hours on end, but at least it keeps the air circulating.
Joe took the kids to school. He helped the Luthers load the moving truck this morning. After lunch, he went into town to get some mattresses. The Luthers needed something to sleep on tonight so that they could load their mattresses on the truck. We have some guests coming in April and will need mattresses then anyway.
I spent some time sorting toys in the kids' room this morning. I volunteered to make a meal for the Luthers tonight and tomorrow night since they have everything packed away. I made lasagna for tonight.
The kids had a good day at school. The Luthers brought down some toys that they were getting rid of. Danny stayed to play with those while Gilbert and Bonnie went up to play with the Luther kids. After Danny did some building with the new toys, he went outside to play too.
The Luthers and those who helped load the moving truck came down here for supper. We had a good time of fellowship. The kids had fun playing and watching The Lone Ranger.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
