Bonjour,

This morning, we waited for the cement workers to come so that we could take Lenell into Abidjan to meet up with Tammy. Lenell and Tammy were in language school together for a few months; so, Lenell wanted to spend some time with Tammy while she is here.

At 8:00, Joe talked to the mason, and he said the workers were on their way. At 10:00, they still weren’t here. Joe called the mason again. He said that they were having problems finding a truck to deliver the supplies. So, Julien waited at the house so that we could go ahead and leave. Julien has been helping with the cement work. He is one of our night guards.

Lenell’s bag is still missing. The airline that she flew does not have an office at the airport. They have an office downtown somewhere. So, the next step will be finding that office. On their online tracking system, it says that the bag is in transit; but, it doesn’t say the destination.

We were supposed to meet Tammy at the mall. We got there about ten minutes before she did. So, we walked around for a few minutes. Gilbert likes to ride the escalator. He says, “Go up there please, Daddy?” So, we went “up there” for a few minutes. We ordered a pizza and took it home for lunch. Gilbert was hoping to sample the pizza in the car, but he had to wait until we got home. He fell asleep on the way home.

After lunch, Sarah and her girls came over for awhile. The girls have been wanting to come over to play, and Sarah wanted to see the pantry shelves. They have started school; so, they do that in the morning, and the boys are usually sleeping in the afternoon. We just waited to put the boys down for a nap until a little later today.

After naps, Gilbert and I went for a walk with Sarah and Margie. Gilbert didn’t want to take a nap because he was afraid he would miss the walk. I assured him that he would get to go on the walk. Joe woke Gilbert up so that he could go. I had to carry him for the first couple minutes because he wasn’t quite awake yet; his legs were a little wobbly. Danny was still asleep; so, he stayed with Daddy.

After the walk, we went over to the Litsons’ house for a little while. Gilbert has discovered the swings over there. At first, he didn’t want to go very high or very fast; but he likes it now. He says, “Reach the trees! Go up there, please!”

Then, we came home for supper and baths. Danny always finds some dirt somewhere. He looked like a little piggy.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
