Bonjour,
Please pray for Joe's family in the death of his uncle, Thomas
Stracener. He died last night. The funeral will be Thursday morning in
San Augustine, Texas.
This morning, we headed into Abidjan first thing. We and Lenell needed
to get money. The electric bills were due today. We usually have a
month to pay the bill, but this time, the bills were delivered late.
Today was the last day to pay the bill. Bob Engelhart took everyone's
bills into Anyama early this morning. There was already a line of about
400 people at 6:30 in the morning. So, Romeo went and stood in line for
us. By 9:30, he had the bills paid.
We all went up to Lenell's apartment this morning to help her get things
put away. I unpacked all of her kitchen barrels while she found places
to put things. I like to sort things; I had fun. Joe and the boys put
her barbecue grill together. Danny was holding the tools for Daddy.
Gilbert got to put the wheels on; he thought that was great.
We called the doctor this morning to see if we could get Bonnie in
today. She has a cold and has lost her voice. The doctor said he could
see her at 4:00.
We didn't get home from Lenell's apartment until about 1:30. I got some
lunch ready quickly, but Gilbert fell asleep on the couch. Danny fell
asleep in his plate.

Lenell came over about 3:00 to watch the boys while we took Bonnie to
the doctor. After the boys woke up, they went outside with Lenell.
When they got ready to come in, they discovered a green mamba on the
porch right in front of the door. They waited until the snake moved and
carefully went inside. Lenell called Julian for help. He was just
across the street. He came and killed the snake. It was about two feet
long.
The doctor said that Bonnie has a cold and laryngitis. He gave us a
mild antibiotic to give her for several days. We are supposed to take
her back to the doctor on Saturday morning to make sure that she is
getting better. Her little cry is so pitiful. She opens her mouth to
scream, but only a little squeak comes out. Poor baby!
Joe took me out to eat for supper. We brought food home for Lenell and
the boys.
Everyone is ready for bed this evening except for Bonnie. She is wide
awake.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
