Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school this morning. The kids were excited.
Joe and I went into town to run errands. We stopped at the bank first to pay the kids' school fees. Joe said that there is one teller who is always rude to him. It was standing room only in the bank, and he told us to take a seat. There was not a place to sit. So, Joe just moved over to the next teller's line. From there, we got bulk flour, sugar, and rice. Then, Joe dropped me off at the circle while he went on to the grocery store. I got some thread and a few other things. The next stop was the post office. Then, we went to a doctor to get Joe's health certificate. He asked, "Do you feel good? What does your blood pressure normally run?" He filled out the paper, signed it, and we were on our way to turn our papers in to the Immigrations office to get our resident visas. They said that everything was in order and that we should get the visas in a month.
The kids all had a good day at school. Only about a third of the students came for school today. Maybe they will all be back by Monday. Gilbert said he had seven (out of 23) in his class, and Danny had eight (out of 27). Bonnie didn't know how many she had, but she said that some of her friends were missing.
We were on a roll. The power had been on for almost 48 hours straight! It went off while the kids were trying to rest. Thankfully it only stayed off about thirty minutes.
We had a good church service this evening with twelve in attendance.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
