Bonjour,

Joe left the house at 5:30 this morning to head to Accra.  After they got to Accra, the mechanic told him on the phone that he needed money before he could send someone to Accra to buy the parts.  Since Joe was already in Accra, he went and found the parts himself.  Brother Luther took Joe to several different banks to try get the needed money out.  Then, Joe told Charlie and Nixon just to go look for vehicles without him so that they wouldn’t waste their whole day trying to help him.  A mechanic who was the friend of another missionary’s mechanic helped Joe find the necessary parts.  Joe had quite a day.  They made it back to Cape Coast this evening with all of the needed car parts.  Joe was able to get everything for less than what the mechanic had told him it would cost.  Joe stayed in Cape Coast so that he can watch the mechanic put the vehicle back together tomorrow.

The power has been doing strange things all day here.  Two phases were off until about 16:00.  Then, one of the phases came back on.  About 19:00, all phases were on for about thirty minutes.  Then, one phase went back off and is still off.

The water truck did come today.  Thank you for praying about that!  Now, if the electricity will do right, I might be able to do some laundry in the morning.

Since the electrical outlets weren’t working this morning, we just did pages for school.  The boys were waiting for 11:00 to roll around so that they could go play with the Luther kids for a little while before lunch.

After naps, the kids went back up to the Luthers’ to play.  I walked up with Danny and Bonnie because Gilbert had gone up there while the other two were still asleep.

At least the phases with the fans, lights, and AC are all working!  Now, it’s bed time!

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
