Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school. He waited around for the welders to show up; they finally came about 11:00. They worked all day and even after it got dark to get everything finished today. They installed the security/screen doors. They also put additional bars over the built-in-bars that were already on some of the windows. All of those windows got new screens. The boys' room has louvered windows; we took all of the pains of glass out so that they could install the bars and screens. Then, we washed each pain of glass before we put it back in its place.
It looked like it was going to rain all day. We got a few sprinkles, but that was all. It did rain on Friday though, and that rain filled both of our water tanks up. That was a blessing; we have been running low on water.
I unpacked more boxes. I got all of the boxes that were in the middle of the kitchen floor emptied, and all of that put away. Tomorrow, I will have to tackle the boxes in the office.
The kids had a good day at school. Gilbert has "exams" this week; it is the end of the second trimester. They get out of school on April 12, and then they go back on May 10 for the third trimester. Gilbert got to wear a medal for a day for doing a good job in Math; he was very excited about that.
Joe went up to the church for the Learning to Read program tonight. They had four additional students come tonight as well as the one who has been coming.
Dan, one of the guys in our church, will be traveling to Accra tomorrow to check on our paperwork. Please pray that the paperwork will be approved so that we can go on to the next step in getting our residents' visas.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
