W'apow mu e,

Joe had a good time today.  They went to a museum and a cheese factory as well as some other places.  They will leave the hotel in the morning and do some sightseeing in the Jerusalem area.  Joe will fly out late tomorrow night.

We had a WAWA day here.  None of the kids wanted to go to school today.  They all had some ailment.  Gilbert has an earache.  Danny and Bonnie have a cough.  Nobody had a fever; so, they all went to school.

I was supposed to go to town in a taxi at 10:00, but it was pouring down rain.  The taxi had to wait a while because the roads were flooded.  We got to the post office just before they close for lunch time.  We have keys to three different PO boxes.  They keys and locks are ancient.  Joe usually checks the boxes.  So, I wasn't sure which key went in which box.  I tried one key and couldn't get the box opened.  So, I tried a different key.  I got the box opened, but I could not get the key back out.  I had a package slip and needed to get it to the package window before the lunch hour.  I went out and asked Eric, the taxi driver, to try to get the key out while I went to claim the package.  The man at the package window tried to get away with highway robbery today.  It was the same man who was at the window last week and didn't charge much at all; I guess he was trying to make up for it today.  In the midst of that, Eric came to tell me that they were going to have to break the lock to get the key out.  I said that was fine and went back to trying to get the package.  After a few tears were shed, I got the package.  I tried hard not to cry, but the tears just came out.  When I got back in the taxi, I was still crying.  Eric wanted to know if I just wanted to go home, but there were a couple other places I needed to go.  I needed to get the rest of the antibiotic that I needed to take and some cold medicine for the kids.  I also needed to get a few groceries.  I got all of that accomplished.  Eric took me home and then went to pick the kids up from school.  Maybe I wasn't feeling as well as I thought I was.  I was all done in after that.

The kids had a good day at school.  Bonnie was telling me that they were reviewing about Jonah today.  She said, "Mom, Jonah had puke everywhere, even on his tippytoes."  Danny said that he had to go to the office but not because he was in trouble; someone stuck their tongue out at him; that is a big offense here.  I guess he had to go to tell what happened.  Gilbert went to school with cotton in his ear this morning; they called me about 10:30 to see if it was okay to remove the cotton; that was the extent of Gilbert's trip to the office.

Then, this evening, the power is off for load shedding.  What a perfect ending to a lovely day!  : )  I'm okay, really!  We will be glad to have Daddy back soon!!

The kids and I played a couple games after supper.  Now, I'm just waiting to see when the power will come back on so that I can turn the generator off.

Nantsew yie!
