Bonjour,

I got some laundry started first thing this morning.  Then, I worked on breakfast.  I made French toast but had a few difficulties.  It was sticking to the pan, and the bread was falling apart.  But, it still tasted good.

Joe, Andrew, and the kids worked on putting a tire swing in the tree.  They had great fun with it for awhile.  Then, one of the knots slipped, and it fell.  No one was injured.

About 9:30, Emily, April, and I headed into town in a taxi.  We stopped to pick up Kristine.  The taxi dropped us off at the market circle.  If you walk around the outside of the circle, it is a one-mile walk.  We first went inside the circle.  There are rows and rows of things branching out in all different directions.  I got some material, needles and thread, popcorn, notebooks for the kids, slingshots for the boys, a fan for Bonnie, and all kinds of things.  We walked around the outside of the circle after we finished on the inside.  There are little shops and stands all the way around the circle.  I found a cute little outfit from the States that still had the $3.00 price tag on it.  They wanted 28 cedis for it.  I told them that the price tags said it was only worth 10 cedis.  They wouldn’t come down, and I wouldn’t go up; so, I didn’t get the outfit.  After we finished there, we went to Garden Mart and looked around for a little bit.  Then, the taxi driver picked us up and took us to Planter’s Lodge for lunch.  The food was good, and we had a good time of fellowship.

We came home and relaxed for a little while.  About 5:15, April came down to the house to watch all of the kids for us.  Joe and Andrew took me and Emily out to Captain Hooks for supper.  We had some good seafood.  Then, we stopped for ice cream on the way home.  The place where we stopped was out of ice cream, but there was a street vendor walking by with an ice cream cart.  So, we got some from him.

The kids were happy to see us when we got home.  They took baths and went to bed.  I am headed that way too.  Tomorrow we are going to meet the Posts at the ocean with the Aarons.  The Luthers, Becky, Kristine, and April are going to meet us there too.  We will eat lunch at the restaurant there and then head back home again.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
