Bonjour,

Joe left at 6:30 this morning to go to Cape Coast with Charlie.  He planned to go talk to the mechanic who had sold us the bad head, but the mechanic was not there; he had traveled to Takoradi.  So, it was a wasted trip for Joe, but he had a good time of fellowship with Charlie.  They got back around 11:00.

I needed to go to the store.  Joe didn’t feel like taking all of the kids in a taxi.  So, I asked April if she would go with me.  She likes to go to town and jumped at the chance.  Joe said that we could go out for lunch too.  We went to Captain Hooks and had pizza.  Then, we found a taxi to take us to the market circle.  We went to a couple different stores there to do the grocery shopping that I needed to do.  I wasn’t sure how to get from the first store to the second store, but we figured it out.  Walking through market circle is always an adventure.  People reach out to touch the “brony” (the Fante word for white man) as you pass. We got back home about 3:30.

The kids were all happy to see me.  They wanted to know what their surprise was.  One of the brands of diapers here comes with an inflatable toy inside each package.  Bonnie and Danny got the toys last time.  Danny poked a hole in his.  So, we were down to one inflatable toy.  Gilbert and Danny claimed them today; this time, they were little dalmation puppy inflatables.  I also found some little Mars bars and brought those for their treat.

Joe isn’t feeling well again this evening.  He hasn’t thrown up at all; he just hurts all over.  He probalby isn’t completely over the flu bug.  Christiana is sick today with the same type of symptoms.  I hope that everyone doesn’t get it.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
