Bonjour,
Joe went to get our propane bottles refilled. Then, he and Dan visited some of the church people to let them know the plans for the Watchnight Service. We didn't announce anything on Sunday since Joe was sick and was doing good just to be there.
Joe found out that the fuel prices went up by 14% today. They had been announcing that fuel prices would increase by 15 to 30%; they came in just under the predicted amount so that people would not be quite as angry.
The banks had been closed since December 23. They had posted signs that they would not reopen until January 4. But, they were forced by the government to reopen today because more money had been withdrawn through the ATMs than was left in the banks.
The kids are enjoying playing, but I think Gilbert is getting ready to go back to school. Gilbert asked if they could watch school DVDs today. I told him that I didn't have the first grade DVDs. He said, "That's fine; we can just do Kindergarten." I was working on cleaning their closet. Before I got out of the closet, he was on to other things. Danny looked at Gilbert like he was a little crazy to be asking to watch school DVDs.
Three more sleeps until Nana and Papa arrive!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
