Bonjour,

Today was a cleaning day in town.  People are supposed to stay at home and clean up their area.  If the police catch you driving about, they will make you clean out the sewer ditches.  So, Joe stayed home this morning; he wasn't feeling too great anyway.
Bible Club kids started showing up around 9:00.  We had fifty-nine for Bible Club.  About forty more came after Bible Club.  They stayed all afternoon and played out in the field.  Vendors even came to the field because there were so many kids; they were selling oranges and water sachets.  Joe made the kids clean up the field before they left.  There were water bags and orange peels everywhere.  There are several almond trees in the yard; the kids pound the shell off of the almonds to eat the almonds.  There were almond shells all along the side of the house.
The Luthers decided to leave tomorrow since Charlie didn't get back until this afternoon.  Charlie is planning to come back on Monday to load the remainder of their stuff into a truck.
The voltage has been high again today.  The power was off for awhile.  The voltage wasn't quite as high as it had been when the power came back on, but it was still higher than it should be.  The high voltage zapped the microwave today.  This evening when more people were using electricity, the voltage came back down.  I got a load of laundry done while the voltage was close to normal.  We may have to start washing clothes by hand if this keeps up much longer.  Tuesday is Ghanaian Independence Day; there probably won't be anyone working until Thursday.  They gear up for the holiday and then have to recover from the holiday.  Oh well!  We'll just roll with the punches.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny and Bonnie
