Bonjour,
Happy Mother's Day! I also want to send special birthday wishes to Oma,
my dad's mom. Today is her 90th birthday.
We had good services today. Joe preached about mothers this morning.
There were three mothers there today. There seem to be a lot more men
than ladies most of the time.
We ate lunch. Then, the kids went to Bible club. Bonnie fell asleep as
usual. April said that Bonnie taps one of the big boys on the leg and
tells them, "Sit down." Then, she falls asleep in their lap.
After Bible club, Gilbert asked Joe to make chocolate shakes. He said,
"It's tradition, Dad." (Last week was the first week that we did it,
but it's tradition! : ) We did have chocolate shakes every Sunday
afternoon with the Posts in Ivory Coast. That must be what he was
thinking about.)

Before the evening service, we heard a big crash. A lady who doesn't do
a lot of driving drove to church tonight. She was trying to turn the
car around to park and ran into our car. It did some damage to our
bumper and damaged her car a little too. She was so embarrassed. Danny
and Bonnie were both crying because they thought our car was ruined and
wouldn't go any more. We told them that it would be just fine.
Joe preached a good sermon about good works tonight. One of the young
men who had just been coming on Sunday mornings has started to attend
all of the services. He stayed after the morning service to talk to Joe
about some things. He would like to lead the youth, but he has some
maturing to do first.
We talked to our mothers after church this morning. Then, we talked to
Oma after church tonight.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
