Bonjour,

I failed to mention in yesterday's e-mail that Francis killed a green
mamba in our yard yesterday. This one was smaller than the last one.
The boys wanted to have their pictures made holding the snake. They
held it by the tail; then, they threw it in the bushes. The Luthers had
a snake about the same size in their bedroom a few days ago. Thankfully
we have not seen any snakes in or near the house!

We did school today. Gilbert wrote from 50 to 100 without any help
today. Danny was excited because he got to use his scissors today.

Joe went up to the church office to work on a sermon. He realized that
he didn't have a key to the gate after he got there. He had to go in
search of a key.

After lunch, we took naps. The kids went to play with the Luther kids
for a while before supper. After supper, we got ready for church.

Just as we were leaving the house for church, the power went off. It
was off at the church too. It was off for the entire service. We had
our first candlelight service in Ghana. Joe did a good job preaching
out of John 3. When we were getting in the car to go home, the power
came back on.

Tomorrow, we have been invited out to the Walkers' school. They are
having a K-5 graduation ceremony and invited Gilbert to graduate. The
Posts are staying out there; so, we will get to see them too. Gilbert
is so excited about getting to graduate. He asked, "Will I be in high
school after that graduation, Mom?" I told him that he had a long way
to go before he got to high school. We will leave at 6:00 AM; the
graduation is at 10:00, but they want him to get there early to practice.

On our way to church tonight, we were behind a truck full of sugar
cane. Gilbert said, "I know what that stuff is called, candy cane." We
told him it was sugar cane.

Bonnie's new thing is to say, "Only girls do that, Mom, not boys." If
it is something that she doesn't want her brothers or Joe to help her
with, then it is something that only girls can do. "Only girls walk up
the road, Mom. Boys go on the trail."

Danny was building a boat out of blocks. Bonnie knocked it over. Danny
said, "Bonnie, you actually destroyed my boat!"

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
