Bonjour,
Bonnie is working on a top tooth now. She was up from 2:00 to 4:30. I
took the 2:00 to 3:30 shift; then, Joe took over for awhile.
Joe left the house at 7:00 this morning to go to the meat market in
Abidjan. The man with the meat usually gets there at 8:00, but he
didn't come until 9:00 this morning. Joe had some other errands to run
after that. While he was waiting for someone to get back to their
office, he went to a restaurant that serves sushi. We had eaten there
once before. The man who prepares the food can be seen from all of the
tables. Joe sat right next to where he was preparing food today and
started talking to him. We just assumed that he was Japanese when we
saw him last time. But, Joe found out today that he is Filipino. The
man asked Joe what he does here. He told him that he is a Baptist
missionary. The Filipino man then told Joe that there are many Baptists
in the Philippines. He is from Iloilo City and went to Rick Martin's
church there one time. His wife is from General Santos.
Danny likes to help me make breakfast. Almost every morning, he comes
to me and says, "What should we make, Mom?" If Gilbert is asked, he
always asks for pancakes for breakfast. So, pancakes it was. Danny
likes to have eggs. He is getting pretty good at peeling hard boiled
eggs with me.

I am feeling better today. The cough is the only thing that is still
lingering. Gilbert is still coughing a little too.
After naps, Lenell called to invite us over for supper. She offered to
bring supper over here, but we decided to go look at the Toyota which is
now at the mechanic's place. It needs some work, but it will be a good
vehicle once we get the work done. The boys were excited and wanted to
sit in the new car. After we finished there, we went to Lenell's
apartment for supper. We had a good time of fellowship with her this
evening. She barbecued pork chops. The boys ate that meat like they
hadn't eaten all day. Even after supper was over, they asked for more
meat.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
