Bonjour,

This morning, Joe was getting ready to go up to the church for a pastors meeting. All of the pastors in the area get together once every three months. Gilbert wanted to go outside to say goodbye to Daddy. We were all standing on the porch. Gilbert waved and said, “Bye, Daddy!” Then, he picked Danny’s hand up and said, “Bye, Daddy!” Gilbert thought that Pete, the dog, should also say goodbye. So, he picked up one of Pete’s front paws and waved it as he said, “Bye-bye, Daddy!” It was cute.

Danny took two long naps today. He didn’t sleep very well last night. It was his first night in a room by himself. We moved him into the office for right now.

This afternoon when it was time for our walk, both boys were still asleep. As I was going out the gate, Buddy, the Litsons’ dog, decided to come up the steps. Pokey got his head out the gate while I was trying to close the gate. Buddy lunged for Pokey, and a fight began. They were in our front yard right inside the gate. Charlie, the Engelharts’ dog, was running in circles around the two big dogs trying to get in on the action. I had been trying to hold Pokey back. But, as soon as they started fighting, I let go. I yelled for Joe. He was on the phone with his sister Mandy. He dropped the phone with her still on the line and came running outside. He got the water hose and broke up the fight.

When Buddy headed back out the gate, he bit Joanna on the leg. There was blood dripping down her leg. Sarah took her back to the house to get her cleaned up. After they looked at it, they took her to the doctor. We kept Meganne and Allison. The doctor cleaned the wound. He wants to watch it for a couple days before he does stitches. They will go back tomorrow to have it checked.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
