Bonjour,

It was another eventful day for the Consfords.  We left the house a little before 8:00 to head to Bassam.  We got stuck in traffic going and coming today.

We got to Bassam a little before 9:30.  Joe and Dan headed to Bonoua.  They were able to hand out four more of the Bibles and letters today.  They were well-received by all those that they met.  They saw the Police Commissioner, the Treasurer, the Chief Building Inspector, and the Postmaster.  All four of the people were very pleased with their Bible, especially the postmaster.  The postmaster was a lady.  She was commenting on how pretty the Bible was and saying that she had never had her very own Bible before.  A few minutes later, her son came into the post office.  He said, “Oh, they gave you a gift.  Let me see it.”  When he started to take it, she said, “That is my Bible, and no one else is going to touch it.”  As she said that, she put the Bible down the front of her dress for safekeeping.

Nathan Post was in better spirits today.  He had some new fish in his aquarium.  He enjoyed telling us all about the fish and their habits.  Gilbert and Danny were fascinated by the fish.

Continue to pray for Nathan.  He has to go back to the doctor on Thursday to have another x-ray done on his broken leg.

I gave Brian a vocabulary quiz.  When Nathan finished his school work, I played a couple games with him.    Gilbert and Danny had a great time playing with the boys.

Danny was making funny faces today.  He had everyone laughing.  Gilbert was so busy playing that he didn’t have time for a nap.

After Joe and Dan left the post office, the clutch had gone out on the vehicle.  They couldn’t find the part that they needed in Bonoua.  They were able to push the vehicle and start it in gear.  They made it back to the Posts’ house.  A mechanic came to the house.  It took most of the afternoon for him to repair the problem.

Gilbert slept all the way home.  We stopped to pick up a pizza for supper.  We got stuck in traffic and got home a little before 20:00.  Danny cried most of the way home because he was hungry.  He went right to the table as soon as we got inside.

Both boys were ready for bed this evening.  Gilbert almost fell asleep in my lap on the couch.  Joe was going to put Gilbert in bed.  He set Gilbert on the floor.   When Gilbert tried to walk, he fell over.  He was asleep as soon as he hit the bed.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
