Bonjour,
This morning, Joe headed out for Bible Clubs with Dan. They had about eighty kids and ten adults who listened to the Bible story at the first Bible Club. There wasn't anyone at the second location. There were funerals at the third and fourth locations.
The kids and I did some cleaning. Then, the kids did their homework.
We had over sixty at the Bible Club in our yard today. When it came time to pass out the candy, I got mobbed. I kept telling them to sit down or they would not get any candy. After several tries, I just put the candy away and told them that if they did not want to listen, that they would not get any candy. Joe had just gotten home. He went out there and made everyone sit down. He talked to them all for several minutes. We will see if anyone shows up for Bible Club next week. : )
We had a picnic with the Luthers this afternoon. I was busy making things for that this morning. I tried a new cake recipe. I also made potato salad and baked beans. Joe had a grill made for the fire pit. He put the hotdogs on that tonight. It worked pretty well. Only a couple hotdogs fell through; he just rinsed them off and put them back on the grill.
The kids had a good time with the Luther kids. They used a piece of charcoal as war paint. It looked like we had a few Indians running around out there. Thumper enjoyed running around with the kids.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
