After more than a decade of serving in Texas, we are thrilled to announce that our family is returning to the mission field! The Consford family has once again answered the call to serve the Lord in Ghana, West Africa. This journey is one we’ve taken before—and it’s one we’re honored to take again. As we prepare for the transition, we are actively lining up meetings, visiting churches, designing prayer cards, and making all the necessary preparations. Every step brings us closer to our new (yet familiar) home.

A Road Marked by Faith and Friendship
Returning to the mission field is not just a change of address—it’s a life shift. We’re saying goodbye to our daily routines, our home in East Texas, and the comfort of the familiar. But we’re also saying “hello” to a new season of ministry filled with opportunities to serve, share the Gospel, and disciple believers in Ghana.
In this season, we are busy contacting churches and pastors, arranging mission conference presentations, and sharing our burden with as many congregations as possible. If your church would like to hear more about our return to Ghana, we’d love to visit! Please reach out and invite us. We’re filling up our calendar quickly, and every meeting is a step forward on the path to the mission field.
Making the Message Clear: Prayer Cards and Presentations
One of the practical things we’re doing in preparation is designing new prayer cards. These small but powerful tools help us stay in the minds and hearts of those who support us in prayer. We’re also preparing updated presentations to share with churches—complete with photos, stories from our previous years in Ghana and Ivory Coast, and a clear vision for what God is calling us to do now.
We want people to see and feel the urgency of the work ahead. There are souls to reach, churches to plant, pastors to train, and students to teach. This mission is more than a calling—it’s our life’s purpose.
Supporting the Journey: Small Businesses with a Big Vision
As we raise support to return to Ghana, we’re grateful for the small businesses that help make our missionary work possible. Two such ventures are HOTS Coffee and Bland Lake Hideaway.
HOTS Coffee in San Augustine is more than just a drive-through coffee shop. It’s a community hub with amazing coffee, breakfast sandwiches, snow cones, and frozen yogurt. And yes—it’s fast, friendly, and SUPER! Every cup you enjoy helps fuel our ministry. We’re proud to say that HOTS Coffee supports our mission efforts in West Africa.
Bland Lake Hideaway is a peaceful vacation rental nestled in the heart of East Texas. It’s a beautiful place to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. It’s also one of the ways our family supports missions. When guests stay at Bland Lake Hideaway, they’re not just enjoying a great getaway—they’re investing in the Gospel.
These businesses are not just part of our story—they’re part of the mission.
A Church That Sends and Supports
Our sending church, Central Baptist Church in Center, TX, has stood with us from the very beginning. Under the leadership of Pastor Danny Dodson, this church family has prayed for us, encouraged us, and partnered with us to carry the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.
Their support is not just financial—it’s spiritual. And we’re thankful to be part of a church that values missions, believes in soul-winning, and equips families to serve. If you’re in the Center, TX area and looking for a church with a heart for missions, we invite you to visit!
Preparing to Go: Prayers Needed
As we prepare for the move, we covet your prayers. There’s a lot to do between now and September 2026. Here are just a few things you can pray for:
- That God will continue to open doors for meetings and presentations
- For our family as we downsize, pack, and say our goodbyes
- For the needed financial support to come in quickly and steadily
- For safety as we travel and clarity in the details of moving
- For God to prepare hearts in Ghana for the work ahead
This isn’t just a move—it’s a mission. And every prayer helps carry us forward.
