Bonjour,
This morning, Joe took a couple men from the church to check on steel prices. Someone had told Joe about a place in Abidjan. But, they figured out that after paying the transport to have it delivered from there, it would be the same price just to buy it in Anyama.
While Joe was gone, a man from the electric company came to read the meter. He could see the dogs through the gate. He told me to chain the dogs. I put Pokey on his chain, but Pete doesn’t have a collar. Pete doesn’t bother anyone, but the man was certain that Pete would bother him. I opened the gate and held on to Pete; the man was trying to shut the gate. He refused to come in. So, we read the meter for him.
It rained hard all afternoon. It was good nap weather!

Danny has a cough and cold and isn’t feeling well today. So, I kept the boys at home this evening. Joe said that there weren’t many at church tonight because of the rain.
We were going to have a get-together with all of the missionaries tomorrow, but it has been postponed until Monday. The Machs are still waiting to receive a container that they shipped. It is in the port, but they are having difficulties getting it out of the port. I had already made a big potato salad. So, the Litsons and Engelharts are going to come over tomorrow for supper for a July 4th celebration. We are going to barbecue chicken.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
