Bonjour,
This morning, Matt, Bob, and I had our weekly missionary meeting at our house. I like to have the meeting because it reminds me of home and coffee circle. It is a good time of fellowship and it is a time where we as missionaries can make sure that we are working together and not against each other.
After we had our coffee circle, we went to the church for the weekly staff meeting. The church in Anyama is starting a Christian school in September and so most of the meeting was spent talking about how to start with the organization and rules for the school. With all of us working together, some good ideas were laid out. It is very exciting to see the nationals have such a desire to do something like this.

Bob Mach’s container was liberated from the port today; and not a day too soon, because the customs department of the government went on strike just after they cleared his container. So, the container had to be taken to a place in Abidjan and then we had to unload the container and load it into a truck. The main problem was that the container was 40′ long and the truck was 25′ long! We got what we could loaded into the truck and took it to Bob Mach’s house and once again unloaded it. By that time it was dark and so since Bob Mach had plenty of help Matt and I came home.
Laura and the boys spent the afternoon and evening with Sarah and her girls. They were all three tired and Laura had developed a very bad headache, so that is why I am writing the e-mail this evening.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
